Tiramisu

Love coffee, chocolate and make ahead dessert?? Then here is a dessert for you – Tiramisu!!!! Tiramisu is a very popular, decadent Italian dessert. Made a non alcoholic, eggless and no bake version of this dessert which is a quick make recipe. The lady fingers are readily available in the market, so all you need to do is bring the ingredients together and assemble them and refrigerate. Very easy !!!
This cake tastes best when made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. All the flavors come together as they soak in them for few hours. Tiramisu has intense flavor of the coffee, and is mildly sweet, which makes it perfect to eat it any time of the day. The light and creamy texture of the mascarpone cheese is such a treat, as it gently melts in your mouth. Every bite entices you to eat more :).

Ingredients

lady fingers 22
cocoa powder for dusting
grated chocolate for topping

for dipping
water 1 cup
instant coffee granules 1½ tbsp
sugar 2 tbsp

for cream
heavy whipping cream 1 cup
mascaporne cheese 1 cup
vanilla extract 1 tsp
sugar 2 tbsp + 2 tbsp

Method

for dipping
Mix coffee granules and 2 tbsp sugar with water and microwave for 1-2 mins till boiling.
Let it cool completely.

for cream
Cream together mascaporne cheese, 2 tablespoons sugar, vanilla until creamy using a hand mixer.
Cream it just till everything comes together, over beating will curdle the cheese. Taste and adjust sweetness.
In another bowl beat heavy whipping cream and 2 tablespoon sugar until stiff peak are formed.
Add this into the mascaporne cheese and fold gently.

for assembly
Take a lady finger, dip it in coffee and immediately place it in the dish, creating one layer.
Spoon half of the cream on top and spread.
Add one more layer of coffee soaked lady fingers.
Spread the remaining cream.
Sprinkle the top with cocoa powder and chocolate shavings.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3-5 hours.
Slice and serve!
