Its festival season so many fruits at home, especially Banana. Banana is one fruit that is a must during festival to offer for god in my house. Other days we don’t get Banana’s that often.. Not sure how to consume the abundance of Banana’s. Hence decided to bake something and share the love with my friends and neighbors :). Turned the banana bread into a kids fav by adding chocolate chips. The gooey melted chocolate chips taste awesome in every bite. Got the idea of pairing banana with chocolate, by seeing my kids once eat their fruit salad with Hersey’s syrup as their topping with ice cream.
multigrain flour + all purpose flour 2 cups
sugar 1/2 cup
baking powder 1/2 tsp
baking soda 1/2 tsp
salt 1/8 tsp
ripe bananas 4 large mashed (about 2 cups)
oil 1/2 cup (used sunflower oil – saffola)
heavy cream or milk 1/2 cup
pure vanilla extract 1 tsp
chocolate chips 1/4 cup
Pre heat the oven to 375 deg F / 190 deg C for at least 15 minutes.
Grease a pan with oil, dust with flour and set aside.
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl.
Add dry ingredients into wet.
Fold it in with spatula till everything comes together, do not over mix it.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour it into prepared pan, even the batter.
Bake into pre-heated oven for 40-45 minutes or till the inserted toothpick in the center comes out clean.
Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
Remove it to the cooling rack to cool.
Enjoy a slice of the dense, sweet and super moist Banana Bread..
