old-fashioned rolled oats 2 cups
chopped almonds 1/2 cup
chopped pecans 1/2 cup
unsalted butter 3 tblsp
agave syrup 1/3 cup
crystal sugar 1/3 cup
brown sugar 1/4 cup lightly packed
vanilla extract 1 1/2 tsp
salt 1/4 tsp
chopped pitted dates 1/2 cup
dried cranberries 1/2 cup
chocolate chips 1/4 cup (optional)
Preheat the oven to 350 deg Fahrenheit.
Spread the oats, pecans, almonds in a baking tray and place it in the oven for 10-12 mins till light brown color.
Transfer the oats mixture into a large mixing bowl.
Boil agave syrup, butter, salt, crystal sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract for one boil on low flame. Continue to cook for a minute.
Add the syrup to the oats mixture, cranberry and dates. Mix well.
Add the chocolate chips, it is optional and mix again.
Reduce the heat of the oven to 300 deg Fahrenheit.
Prepare a large baking tray by smearing butter on all sides.
Spread the oats mixture to the thickness you like in the baking tray.
Spread them with wet fingers.
Place this in the oven for 20-25 mins till slightly brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 2 hrs and cut into desired size pieces, ready to serve..
Note: Agave syrup can be replaced with crystal sugar.
