Quinoa Onion Dosa

Dosa is a great comfort food, which has high carb content. Tried a varition to the regular dosa recipe by reducing the rice quantity and adding some quinoa. The dosa turned out to be great and no change in taste.

for dosa batter
raw rice 1/2 cup
quinoa 1/2 cup
urdhal 1/2 cup
poha 1/4 cup
methi seeds 1 tsp

for garnish
onion 2 finely chopped
green chillies paste 1-2 tsp (depending on spice level required)
coriander leaves 1/2 cup chopped

for dosa batter
Soak all the ingredients for batter for 4-6 hrs.
Grind this in a grinder or food processor into a smooth paste with a slightly thick consistency.
Let ferment over night.

for making dosa
Add onion, green chilly paste, coriander and salt to the fermented batter.
Heat a pan, take a ladle of dosa batter and spread nicely as thin as possible like a creep.
Add 1/2 tsp oil and let cook till light brown color. Flip the dosa and cook for a min.
Ready to serve..

Note: This batter can be used to make plain dosa or masala dosa or paddu.
