Bruschetta an Italian antipasto is such an easy dish to make. Great to make for parties or enjoy with family. Very few ingredients are needed to make this, yet will get a thumbs up from kids and adults.
Ingredients
olive oil 2 tblsp
garlic 5 cloves finely minced
balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp
tomato 6 (remove the seeds and pulp)
basil leaves 16 cut lengthwise and thin (chiffonade)
salt And pepper to taste
baguette 1
Method
Heat 2 tblsp of olive oil and add garlic.
Let cook for 1 min or less (don’t let the garlic brown).
Transfer this to a bowl and let cool.
Cut the tomatoes in to small pieces and mix into the oil-garlic mixture.
Mix in basil, salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar.
Turn on the oven to broil setting.
Brush each piece of the baguette with lil olive oil and broil both side will light brown and crispy.
Place a spoonful of the tomato mixture on the baguette piece and serve immediately.
